Waterproof black leather ankle boots, leather lined, with a block heel.
Kate 52 is the waterproof version of a plain black boot. There is a Top-Dry Tex membrane behind the leather, and the block heel is a practical height rather than a dressy one.
Fit and comfort: A G fitting, a standard width. It laces up with a zip alongside, so the fit is set once and the zip does the rest after that. The lining is leather and so is the insole.

Why I'd recommend it
I'd recommend Kate 52 for work if you are in and out of buildings all day. Leather right the way through, lining and insole as well as upper, is what I'd point out, and the waterproofing means you are not choosing between smart and dry.
