Smart-casual leather lace-up shoes in black, made in a K fitting, Josef Seibel's wide fitting.

Alastair 01 is a plain black lace-up, clean across the toe with stitching running along the welt. It is a style we have had before and have brought back, and it does the job a lot of men need one shoe to do, smart enough for work and not so formal it looks out of place at the weekend.

Fit and comfort: This one is made in a K fitting, which is Josef Seibel's wide fitting, so there is real room across the ball of the foot. The footbed is leather and lifts out if you wear your own orthotics. The linings are leather and textile, and the PU sole is light and flexible for the weight of shoe it is.

Leather upper, leather and textile linings, removable leather footbed, PU sole. Josef Seibel is one of the brands we have stocked longest, and the quality of the leather is a large part of why.

Why I'd recommend it
I'd recommend Alastair 01 if you are on your feet at work and still have to look smart. The PU sole is light and has some give in it, which is not what you would expect from a shoe finished this formally.
