Gemma 01 is a plain black Chelsea boot sat on a flatform sole. The upper is clean, with no stitching or hardware showing, so the sole is doing all of the work visually.
Fit and comfort: A standard width. The elasticated gusset at the side stretches as you put the boot on and holds it in place after. The insole lifts out for orthotics. Because the sole is a flatform rather than a heel, the height is the same front and back, so you stand level in it.
PU textile upper, textile lining, TPR sole. Vegan-friendly materials, easy to clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.
Why I'd recommend it
I'd recommend Gemma 01 if you like the look of a raised sole but do not want to be standing on a heel to get it. It gives you the height and keeps your foot flat, which are two things that do not usually come together.
